Early Infectious Diseases consultation is strongly recommended & associated with better outcomes. All patients at PHC with S aureus bacteremia will automatically be referred to ID team for assessment.¹ ²
It is essential to control the source of S.aureus bacteremia and initiate urgent treatment.³
